Mount Agamenticus is a 692 ft high monadanockin the town of York. The area surrounding the summit is a park reservation which provides habitat for wildlife and a venue for recreation.
From the top of the summit on a clear day you can see the skyscrapers of Boston, White Mountains of New Hampshire and the Maine Coastline all the way to Portland.
Fisherman's Walk to Wiggly Bridge is a 1.7 mile trail that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching. There is also fantastic pictures of the harbor and York river.
Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge was established to protect valuable salt marshes and estuaries for migratory birds. Visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing year-around on the refuge. Excellent reflections, leading lines, nature and landscape photography.
Originally a small fishing community and artists’ colony, the Cove is a charming area that consists of local independent shops, restaurants and scenic outlooks. Hugged by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and a small harbor on the other side Photo ops include: a crashing surf, footbridge an boats in the harbor. Marginal Way, is a cliff walk that meanders for a little over one mile along the ocean. A photogrpaher's paradise.
